A Customizable Curriculum for a Unique Academic Experience

全球研究 majors begin with the interdisciplinary course, 全球问题导论. Students will then go on to examine globalization through varying disciplines including economics, 政治科学, 语言, 历史, 文学, 还有宗教研究. They will need to complete introductory courses such as global 历史, 国际政治, 世界经济, and culture to establish a sophisticated grasp of the globalized world.

Upon completion of the courses constituting the 全球研究 foundation, students may pursue a 浓度 完成五门课程(15学分) 地区 or 局部 关注领域. Dr. Ferrer-Medina serves as the chair for the Department of World 语言s and Cultures and is an assistant professor of 西班牙语. Her areas of research interest include Early Modern and Colonial Latin American 文学, 后殖民理论与生态批评. Dr. Ferrer-Medina also has affiliations on campus with the campus sustainability advisory committee (CSAC) and the LGBTQ+ subcommittee to the Diversity Council.

Dr. Desgranges is a global scholar who has taught in the Caribbean, West Africa, and Southeast Asia. 在圣母, she is an assistant professor of 英语 and Africana Studies. GLI Scholarship for First-Year Students with a Passion for 历史
